Villa Daphne | Modern villa with panoramic views and excellent proximity to Lourdas Beach

We stayed in Villa Daphne as a family of four (sons aged 19 & 17) and from first booking contact with Daniel at Kefalonia Villa Holidays found everyone to be extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Pre-arrival we were given contact details to inform that our flight had landed and to agree a convenient time to meet with Daphne at the villa to check in. Upon arrival we were blown away by the villa, both internally and externally. It looked wonderful when we booked it but in reality far exceeded our expectations. There had been some modifications and upgrades made over the winter that had transformed the villa and given it a really modern feel. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and we really enjoyed the coffee machine. Outside the gas BBQ was a fabulous addition to our holiday and we enjoyed grilling Souvlakis from the local butcher recommended by Daphne, along with multiple other excellent recommendations. We didn’t spend much time in the living area inside but it was extremely comfortable with great views. The bedrooms were all extremely comfortable and well equipped with hairdryers and towels, including pool towels and the two upstairs rooms were en-suite ( the downstairs bedroom although not ensuite had a bathroom next door). We really enjoyed the upper balconies for a morning coffee and watching all the mega yachts sailing passed. The outside area was brilliant, with plenty of space and different seating areas and comfortable sun loungers. The pool was a good size too and cleaned frequently by a lovely pool guy. What made it for us though was the sea views and positioning of the villa which were amazing. The location in Lourdata was good as the hillside location offered spectacular views. Yes it is a long steep walk back up the hill, but it was easily do-able for us in the evening when it was a bit cooler. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk down to the beachside for meals and cocktails. It was an easier, not so steep walk to the upper part of Lourdata where there were plenty of restaurants and a lovely cocktail bar as well as a couple of small supermarkets for top up shops. We hired a car to see more of the beautiful island which enabled us to get to Argostoli where there were bigger supermarkets and a Lidl. We would most definitely return to Villa Dapne and use Kefalonia Villa Holidays again too, than you so much for a wonderful stay!

The island of Kefalonia is well known for its beautiful beaches and natural beauty but as soon as we arrived at the villa Daphne we could add another to the list. The view from the pool area overlooking the Ionian Sea and back towards the immense mount Ainos was spectacular. Further views overlooking Lourdas bay were equally stunning especially from the balcony of the villa. We were greeted by a very enthusiastic young man who explained as much as we needed for a fantastic holiday. The pool and patio area was stunning and had sunshine pretty much all day. The villa has all the en suite you could possible need and lovely comfortable lounges to relax when the sun is down and the moon is up. I really enjoyed the view from the master bedroom overlooking the bay in all its glory at anytime. Not far from local taverna’s and shops although a car is recommended due to the steepness of the hill. All the facilities and location you could possibly need for an incredible holiday. Pool was cleaned and towels replaced to make it all very comfortable and lovely indeed. Very relaxing ,very clean and comfortable for the perfect holiday. Thank you Daniel and the Team!

We had a great time at Villa Daphne. The villa was well suited for a family of 5. The views are excellent and the location convenient for travel around the island. There are some excellent tavernas and restaurants within walking distance and the beach is 10-15 mins walk away. Would definitely recommend!
